The Innkeepers
We invite you to meet our team members and learn more about the people who make Red Circle Inn a one-of-a-kind dining destination.
Executive Chef
Rich Sweed
Richard's culinary journey began on a quaint dairy farm just a stone's throw from the bustling city of Philadelphia. A young man with a restless spirit and a passion for flavor, he traded in his textbooks for chef's whites at the tender age of 15, embarking on a lifelong adventure in the world of food.

From the familiar comforts of the East Coast to the rugged wilds of Alaska, Richard traversed the country, honing his skills and expanding his culinary horizons. He led kitchens in acclaimed, James Beard Award-winning establishments in Alaska and sought further refinement at Graham Elliott's esteemed Michelin-starred restaurants in Chicago. Along the way, his talent and dedication earned him accolades, including titles like Iron Chef Milwaukee and True Cooks All-Star.

Richard's creative spirit eventually led him to Milwaukee, where he and his team captured the hearts (and stomachs) of the city, earning the coveted title of Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Best Restaurant in 2015. His innovative approach to Modern Global Cuisine, showcased in publications like Plate Magazine and Milwaukee Magazine, is a testament to his passion for pushing boundaries and crafting unforgettable dining experiences.

More than just a chef, Richard is an artist, a storyteller, and a teacher, sharing his love for culinary arts with every dish he creates. His journey, born from a youthful dream amidst the rolling pastures of Pennsylvania, has blossomed into a celebrated career, fueled by creativity, passion, and an unwavering commitment to quality.
